Dr. Mohammad Al-Khalaileh, the Minister of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs, and Holy Places, inaugurated today the Charity and Guidance Forum along with a free charity and medical day organized by the Ministry in cooperation with the Zakat Fund and Al-Maqasid Charitable Hospital in the areas of Jabal Al-Qusour, Al-Taj, and Al-Joufa in the capital.
Minister Al-Khalaileh stated that holding such charitable forums, guidance sessions, and free medical days aligns with the divine commandment, "The believers are but brothers," and the saying of the Prophet Muhammad, "The example of the believers in their affection, mercy, and compassion for each other is like that of a body; when any limb aches, the whole body responds with sleeplessness and fever."
He added that through these forums, the Ministry reviews all aspects related to the Awqaf sector, the Zakat Fund, and endowment programs. He also noted that meetings of imams, preachers, and scholars from various regions of the Kingdom during these guidance forums aim to exchange opinions, experiences, knowledge, and preaching methods.
Minister Al-Khalaileh announced the distribution of 500 shopping vouchers worth 30 JD each to poor and needy families, cash assistance to 50 orphans and 50 students, each receiving 100 JD, and the distribution of 300 food parcels. He pointed out that 355 families in Jabal Al-Qusour, Al-Taj, and Al-Joufa receive monthly stipends, in addition to 196 orphans who benefit from orphan sponsorships and two rehabilitation projects.
The Minister also inaugurated the free medical day, which provided healthcare and medical services to the residents of the area.
