The General Directorate of Hajj and Umrah (GDHU) supervises the Hajj and Umrah processes, empowering citizens to perform their rituals. GDHU also monitors the performance of Hajj and Umrah companies, ensuring their compliance with regulations and contracts signed by pilgrims. Additionally, GDHU protects the rights of pilgrims.

  • Determining the members of the Jordanian Hajj and Umrah missions according to the criteria set by The Council of Endowments, Islamic Affairs, and Holy Sites each year.
  • Granting permits to companies that meet the requirements for providing Hajj and Umrah services according to the conditions approved by the department.

  • Receiving applications from those who wish to perform Hajj every year and selecting those who meet the required conditions each year.
  • Receiving complaints from Hajj and Umrah performers in case of violations by the companies they contracted with.
  • Granting permits to companies to provide Hajj and Umrah services.
