Jerusalem Endowments Council:
Based on the honor of the Hashemite custodianship of the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs and Holy Sites has formed the Islamic Endowments Council in Jerusalem to oversee the management of Jerusalem Endowments in general. Its members are appointed by a decision of the Council of Ministers to supervise the management of Endowments and Endowments properties, which constitute more than 50% of the properties in Jerusalem.
Objectives of the Council:
- To preserve the Arab and Islamic identity of Jerusalem.
- To develop programs and plans related to Islamic Endowments and the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque/Al-Haram Al-Sharif.
- To manage Islamic Endowments and oversee its affairs and the affairs of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque/Al-Haram Al-Sharif from a religious, administrative and political perspective.
